Located in historic Leesburg, Virginia, the Loudoun School of Ballet is the oldest and largest dance instruction facility  in Loudoun County and has been providing a tradition of excellence in training dancers for more than 20 years.  Under the experienced leadership of Director and Founder, Sheila Hoffmann-Robertson, the Loudoun School of Ballet has successfully trained more than 10,000 dance students.  The school's goal is to help all students find the unique dancer inside of them, not to make them conform to an arbitrary, artificial standard of perfection.  Many students aim at professional dance careers; others enjoy dancing as recreation.  The school appreciates and respects both of these purposes, and feels it can best serve the great diversity of its students and the equally delightful variety of their needs by offering them the opportunity for a rich, life-long experience through serious training in a professional dance atmosphere.  Alumnae include many dance professionals:  ballerinas, Broadway dancers, company directors,  choreographers, college majors, university professors, teachers, and dance critics, as well as countless talented, creative amateurs whose lives have been enriched through their improved health, fitness, confidence, and love of dance.

The school is comprised of two main departments:  Ballet and Contemporary.  The Ballet department includes ten graded levels of classical ballet, a pre-school program, evening adult classes, and electives in pre-pointe, pas de deux, variations, and stretch.  The Contemporary department includes a pre-school and adult program, graded classes in theatrical jazz, lyrical dance, Broadway tap, rhythm tap, modern, choreography, and Irish dance.  The school is proud of its far-reaching reputation for quality and excellence.  The faculty of The Loudoun School of Ballet includes accredited, award-winning instructors with national and international performing and teaching experience.

The Loudoun School of Ballet also boasts state-of-the-art dance accommodations.  The school's large 6000 square foot facility was custom-designed and constructed in 1992.  Created by Ms. Hoffmann-Robertson, the facility reflects an atmosphere of elegance and tradition with the latest security, health, and safety features.
